Man charged in Bear stabbing death Thursday, police say

A 38-year-old man has been arrested and charged in a stabbing death Thursday in Bear, New Castle County police said.

Marcello Williams is being charged with first-degree murder and other felonies after they say he stabbed a male victim multiple times on Risa Court in the Salem Woods community, police said.

Officers were called to the scene in reference to an assault, police said. When they arrived, they found the male victim with multiple stab wounds. He was taken to the hospital and later died. Williams was taken into custody at the scene.

An arraignment was still pending Thursday night. No other information was available. Police said additional updates would follow.
