1. Lauren Calve is like a Frankenstein mashup featuring Bonnie Raitt’s aura, Ben Harper’s slide-guitar style and Patty Griffin’s dynamic voice.
Calve is a D.C.-area singer-songwriter and lap-steel player who brought excitement to the Americana scene.
She dropped her debut EP, “Between the Creek and the Tracks,” in 2014, earning her a Washington Area Music Association nomination for Best Roots Rock Vocalist. In 2018, she released her sophomore album, “Light Dark.”

2. Tony Award-winning play “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time” will thrill audiences with a two-hour adventure.
The program, presented by Clear Space Theatre Company, will include a pre-show reception with hors d’oeuvres and complimentary beer and wine. Proceeds will benefit the Children’s Beach House and Clear Space Scholarship Fund.
The show follows a brainy teenager who’s a math wiz, yet he hates being touched and distrusts strangers. After discovering his neighbor’s dead dog, the teen is on mission to solve the pup’s death.

3. Twang, rock and blues is what you’ll find with the Maryland-based band Eastern Electric.
The group boasts pedal steel guitar, piano and organ with a gritty, layered rhythm section. The boys draw a big influence from legends like Bob Dylan, Bob Marley, Jerry Garcia, Johnny Cash and Bruce Springsteen.
