1. Classical Brazilian band

Brasil Guitar Duo is an army of two in concert.

The outfit features Joao Luiz and Douglas Lora, who met in Sao Paulo as teenage guitar students. They’ve been performing together for more than 10 years.

The pair’s first CD of all-Brazilian repertoire, “Bom Partido,” was released in 2007 on CAG Records and is now in its third printing.

The Brasil Guitar Duo debut also dropped two CDs of complete works for two guitars by Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco, the first in 2008 to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the composer’s death, followed by another in 2009.

You can catch the group on stage at 7 p.m., Saturday. Tickets are $35.
