The Heritage Museums and Gardens of Dorchester and the staff of the Dorchester County Historical Society will host a Heritage Potluck at noon Dec. 19 at the museum, 1003 Greenway Drive, Cambridge, Maryland.

This is free and open to the public with one caveat — attendees are encouraged to bring a covered dish or dessert that is a family recipe.

Visitors will be encouraged to share family customs, stories and, this year, their holiday menus. This casual affair will be a prelude to the holidays and possibly new traditions.

As an added bonus, the Todd Research Center will be open for those who wish to start or work on family history or local interests. Whether someone is just starting on the family history path or 30 years down the road, the support to make efforts successful can be found here.
