The suspect is identified as Lamar J. Dozier, 30.
Troopers with the Delaware State Police have arrested a Dover man after he allegedly threatened two people with a gun.
Division spokeswoman Master Cpl. Melissa Jaffe said the incident took place at about 8:44 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18 in the 200 block of North Governors Boulevard, Capital Green.
Arriving on the scene, troopers learned 30-year-old Lamar J. Dozier had entered his home and began arguing with a 20-year-old New Castle woman, accusing her of stealing his property. Dozier allegedly went to the backyard and re-entered the home with a bag containing ammunition and a rifle; he then threatened the woman and her 23-year-old boyfriend, who lives with Dozier, by pointing the rifle at them.
Troopers took Dozier into custody as he was leaving through the back door, recovering a .22-caliber rifle and a box of 9 mm ammunition from the home.
Dozier is charged with possession of a firearm by a person prohibited, possession of ammunition by a person prohibited and two counts each of aggravated menacing and terroristic threatening.
He was ordered held at the Sussex Correctional Institution on a $22,000 secured bond.
