Nanticoke Health Services announced that Lara Hudson was named director of clinical operations and population health.
In this position, Hudson is accountable for overseeing the Nanticoke Physician Network and Employee Care Coordination Programs, quality and data and the eBrightHealth ACO partnership to provide a smooth transition of care for all patients.
Additionally, Hudson will oversee population health across all of Nanticoke Health Services to increase quality, reduce costs and increase patient satisfaction to achieve the triple aim of health care. She will also help monitor admissions, reduce readmissions and engage in new partnerships with home health, hospice and skilled nursing facilities to assist in transitioning patients.
Hudson started her career at Nanticoke in December 1999 as a certified nursing assistant at Life Care while pursuing her registered nurse degree. In 2001, she transferred into the emergency department as an ED tech and graduated with her registered nurse degree in 2003.
Hudson has also worked in the progressive care unit and at the Georgetown Primary Care office. She received her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Wilmington University prior to moving into NPN administration in 2011. In this department, Hudson has served in several positions including electronic medical records administration and manager of clinical programs. She is set to graduate with her Master of Science in management in health care administration from Wilmington University in December.
