Delaware Hospice extended thanks to the Eleanor Soltner Golf Committee, which soared past its goal and raised $22,400 for the Delaware Hospice Center.

After the care that Eleanor Soltner received from the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford, her family and friends decided to organize a memorial golf outing. After eight years of hosting the Eleanor Soltner Golf Outing, the committee has raised more than $130,000.

Delaware Hospice extended a thanks to supporters of this years event, including Friends of Delaware Hospice, Roland Marshall, Ethel Graham, Chesapeake Utilities Corp., Del-One Federal Credit Union, Dover Federal Credit Union, I.G. Burton Inc., P & G–Dover, Wagamon Technology Group and Christiana Mechanical Inc.

More than 6,300 patients and families were served at the Delaware Hospice. The center provides short-term symptom management care. Patients and their families have found specialized care 24 hours a day, seven days a week within one of the 16 private suites, two country kitchens, two family rooms, two children’s play rooms and two formal living rooms, as well as the Family Support Center and Community Resource Center.

The Eleanor Soltner Memorial Golf Outing also honors the memory of Don Tiedemann, Bob Graham, Marian Marshall, Donna Jean Jackson, Esther O. Smith, the Passwater Family, Gardner Shugart, Ray Beck, Joe Cavanaugh, Pop Bailey, Roy Brown and Tom Mathis.
