Police are looking for Destiny Thomas after arresting her brother and accomplice, George Thomas III
Delaware State Police are looking for 25-year-old Destiny Thomas of Millington, Md., in connection with several burglaries in Kent County, Del.
Delaware State Police spokeswoman Master Cpl. Melissa Jaffe said Thomas’ accomplice, her brother George Thomas III, 32, also of Millington, was arrested Aug. 14.
The investigation started June 6 when parts for a 1965 Rambler American Model 235 automobile were taken from a home on Arthursville Road, Hartly. Four days later someone broke into a home on Sudlersville Road, Clayton, and took two shotguns and a television, Jaffe said.
On June 23, someone forced the rear door to a home on Central Church Road, Dover, and took electronics, power tools and jewelry.
State police detectives used evidence gathered to identify the siblings as suspects in all three instances.
Troopers received a break in the case Tuesday when George Thomas III was taken into custody by Queen Anne’s County, Md., law enforcement officials. He is awaiting extradition back to Delaware.
Thomas will be charged with two counts of second-degree burglary, two counts of theft of a firearm, two counts of criminal mischief as well as single counts of third-degree burglary, theft of property valued at more than $1,500, theft of property valued at less than $1,500, and theft of property valued at less than $1,500 where the victim is more than 65 years of age.
Police on both sides of the border are looking for Destiny Thomas, Jaffe said. Police have obtained warrants listing the same charges as those faced by her brother.
Destiny Thomas is thought to have ties to Millington and Church Hill, Md., as well as Clayton and Dover.
