Female not charged

The Rehoboth Beach Police Department has identified both suspects in a July 14 theft. 

On Monday, July 23, 19-year-old Anthony E. Coghill, of Rehoboth Beach, turned himself in to police for his involvement in the theft. At around 3:30 p.m. on July 14, Coghill entered the Beach Arcade on the boardwalk and stole an unattended wallet and Apple iPhone that were unintentionally left on an arcade game. He concealed the items in a towel and left the store.

Based on the findings of the investigation, the female accompanying Coghill in the surveillance photos was not charged. 

Coghill was charged with misdemeanor theft of lost or mislaid property valued at under $1,500.00 and released on unsecured bail.


The Rehoboth Beach Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying two theft suspects.

The theft occurred at the Beach Arcade on the boardwalk on Saturday, July 14, around 1:30 p.m. Through the use of video surveillance, investigators were able to develop the individuals pictured as suspects. The female pictured reportedly has blue and purple hair.
