The fourth annual Kids Catch-all Fishing Tournament will be held June 23-24 at the Indian River Marina, 39415 Inlet Road, Rehoboth Beach.
The two-day event is open to ages 3-18 and includes free event T-shirts for participants, free all-you-can-eat buffet dinner for the kids — $10 additional family members — door prizes each night, a special gift on Awards Night and custom-made trophies for the heaviest fish in each division.
Sen. Ernie Lopez will join the festivities June 24 to award the trophies. The all-you-can-eat “Mexican fiesta” buffet, provided by Hammerheads, will be held June 23, and the “Good Ol’ Fashioned Cookout,” provided by Bethany Blues, will be held June 24.
Registration for the tournament is available at kidscatchall.com or by in person at the Indian River Marina from 6 to 8 p.m. June 22 and from 6 to 8 a.m. June 23. Kids must be registered by 8 a.m. June 23 to participate.
Weigh-ins are from 3 to 6 p.m. each day at the scales located at the Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em tackle shop located at the Indian River Marina.
Registration is $25 per child or $150 per boat — six kids maximum — and the proceeds help the Lyme Disease Association of Delmarva Inc. provide educational resources about Lyme disease and other tick-borne illnesses to those living, working and visiting the Delmarva Peninsula. Kids can fish on the beach, jetties, from private boats or from charter boats, and parents can assist with reeling in the fish.
