The Beebe Medical Foundation and Beebe Healthcare announced a $250,000 grant award from the Franklin P. and Arthur W. Perdue Foundation to support the new Specialty Surgical Hospital to be built on Beebe’s Rehoboth Beach Health Campus on Route 24.
The Perdue Foundation has a commitment to supporting Beebe Healthcare, giving a gift of $150,000 in 2015 to purchase new 3D mammography technology at Beebe’s Georgetown Health Campus.
“Our great community partnership with Perdue dates back to 1985 and has grown over the years as our community is growing. Both Perdue and Beebe recognize the need to support the expanding needs of healthcare throughout Sussex County,” said Judy Aliquo, president and CEO of Beebe Medical Foundation.
The Franklin P. and Arthur W. Perdue Foundation, the charitable giving arm of Perdue Farms, was established in 1957 by company founder Arthur W. Perdue and is funded through the estates of Arthur W. Perdue and Frank Perdue.
“Beebe Healthcare is a wonderful asset to the Sussex County community where many Perdue associates and their families call home,” said Kim Nechay, executive director of the Perdue Foundation. “We are honored to provide funding toward their campaign to expand their health care network with a new specialty surgical hospital in southern Delaware.”
