Some fun First State events to dive into this weekend.

1. There’s an old saying we all have a lookalike. You’ll see Barbara Streisand’s doppleganger in Sussex County this weekend.

In a show titled “Simply Streisand,” an anonymous tribute artist will tackle hits by the multiple award-winning singer, while donning her look.

From the hair, down to the trademark nails and wearing meticulously detailed replicas of iconic concert gowns, the unnamed tribute artist (whose name has been purposely omitted from her own website) is "Simply Streisand" in every way.

But don’t let the looks fool you, she’s also a force on the microphone. She bears a purity of sound similar to Streisand. And her keen sense of comedic timing, and ability to ad-lib, adds to the overall illusion of portraying the original “Funny Girl”.

“Simply Streisand” is headed for the Milton Theatre at 110 Union St., in Milton at 1 p.m., Friday. COST $20 to $25. INFO or 684-3038.

2. What’s not to like about carrying a long sword, singing nautical songs and enjoying lots of booty (gold treasure)?

That’s the pirate life. And some of that can be yours, too, at the return of the Wilmington Pirate Festival. The event, presented by the Kalmar Nyckel Foundation, will feature maritime-themed activities offered on land, both at the Kalmar’s Shipyard, on the ship itself and at Fort Christina.

There will be a pirate parade, face painting, crafts, music by Pirates for Sail, pirate demonstrations, food trucks and more.

Buccaneers of all ages can unleash their rebellious side at the Pirate Festival, held at Kalmar’s Shipyard, 1124 E. 7th St., in Wilmington from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday. COST Free admission, but some activities require a fee. INFO 429-7447.

3. High Five Swan Dive will soon take a plunge into listeners’ eardrums.

The Philly band creatively arranged repertoire spans cover songs from the glory days of classic rock to the hottest modern dance, pop and rock tunes. Mainly, however, the gang performs top-40 hits.

H5SD is set to play the Fire & Ice Lounge of Dover Downs Hotel & Casino, 1131 N. Dupont Highway, in Dover at 9:30 p.m., Saturday. COST Free. INFO or 674-4600.
