A ServSafe food handler program will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 5 at the Small Business Development Center, 103 W. Pine St., Georgetown.

Participants who complete the course will obtain a five-year national certification. The program covers basic food safety; personal hygiene; cross-contamination and allergens;

time and temperature; and cleaning and sanitation. A test will be held at the end of the course.

The $150 registration cost includes the exam and a program workbook. The deadline to register is Feb. 17. To register, call 856-1555 or email atootle@udel.edu.
