Airpark Plaza, in the 900 block of North Dupont Highway, was evacuated at around 10:55 this morning after an anonymous caller claimed there was a bomb on the roof, said Cpl. Robert Masten, spokesman for the Milford Police Department.
An investigation revealed the anonymous caller contacted a business in the building to make the threat. The building and its parking lot were quickly closed, police said.
Delaware State Police Aviation checked the property by air, followed by Carlisle Fire Company personnel checking the roof with several of its members.
The property was then checked by K-9 officers from the Delaware Capitol Police and Delaware State Police. The property was deemed safe and re-opened.
Milford police continue to investigate this matter and are asking anyone with information to call 422-8081 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333. Tips can also be submitted online through Milford Police Department’s social media.
