Troopers arrested a 27-year-old man from Houston and a 24-year-old woman from Ellendale on Monday after they were found parked at a boat ramp near Millsboro with methamphetamine products.
Robert A. Donovan and Mollie L. Moxey were found parked at the boat ramp at around 10:05 Monday night, according to Master Corporal Gary Fournier, spokesman for the Delaware State Police Dept.
A trooper patrolling the Gull Point boat ramp spotted a suspicious vehicle backed along the side bank of the fishing pier after dark when the area is closed, Fournier said.
The trooper made contact with the driver of the red Jeep Cherokee, identified as Donovan, who gave conflicting stories as to why he was parked at the ramp, said Fournier.
A computer check conducted on Donovan and Moxey revealed they were both wanted on outstanding warrants from Sussex County Courts, Fournier said.
Upon taking the two into custody, Fournier said that a search was conducted on the Jeep which revealed equipment and component mixtures of the manufacturing stages of Meth along with key ingredients in making the drug.
Donovan and Moxey are both charged with operating a clandestine laboratory, second-degree conspiracy and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Donovan was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution in Georgetown and Moxey was committed to Baylor Women's Correctional Institution in New Castle, both on $11,500 cash bond.
