With warmer weather finally here, now’s a good time to get outdoors – even if it’s just to putter around.
Dover Par 3 & Driving Range at 924 Artis Drive is just the place, and attracts local and out of town golfers.
Dover Par 3 is where beginners can learn the basics of golf or families can get together and play.
“For $14, you can play all day,” said Jeffrey Heilman, who works at the range. “You can golf, take a break, go home and eat lunch, and come back and play all day. That’s hard to beat.”
Even better for those beginners, the course at Dover Par 3 isn’t intimidating. There are no water hazards or sand traps and the longest playing hole is the 150-yard hole No. 17. All of the holes range between 70 and 150 yards.
Zach Webster, of Greensboro, Md. played at the course recently,
“It looked like a good course and we thought it would be a good experience coming out here to play,” Webster said.
The course features full-size greens and can be played in its entirety in about two hours. Players also don’t have to worry too much about typical golf etiquette, such as attire.
