A 23-year-old Harrington man was arrested Wednesday after he allegedly broke into an apartment building where he used to reside.
Timothy M. Brown was taken into custody on Center Street near Second Avenue, Harrington Police Department spokesman Lt. Earl K. Brode said.
Officers were called to the apartment building just after 4:30 p.m. where they spoke with the victim and a witness who identified Brown as the culprit, he said.
Brown had recently been evicted from the apartment building and was prohibited from re-entering, he said.
A search of Brown after his arrest turned up stolen property that was returned to the victim, as well as drug paraphernalia, Brode said.
Brown also was wanted on a warrant issued by Kent County Superior Court.
Brown is charged with second-degree burglary, two counts of theft under $2,500 and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was being held at the Sussex Correctional Institution in Georgetown on $5,000 cash only-bail and $4,600 secured bail.
