A 19-year-old Ellendale man and a 17-year-old boy are facing drug charges and other offenses following a traffic stop in Milford on Dec. 3.
Qualeel Wescott and the teen were the occupants of a vehicle officers stopped in the 100 block of N.W. Second St. about 11 p.m., according to Milford Police Department spokesman Detective Dwight Young.
After further investigation and a positive K-9 alert for illegal drugs in the vehicle, officers discovered that Wescott and the teen, whose name was not released, were in possession of 21.1 grams of marijuana and 27 bags of heroin, along with more than $1,100 in cash.
The teen also gave officers a false name during the investigation, Young said.
Wescott is charged with possession with intent to deliver heroin, possession of marijuana and traffic violations. He was being held at the Sussex Correctional Institute in Georgetown on a $5,504 secured bond.
The juvenile is charged with possession with intent to deliver heroin, possession of marijuana and criminal impersonation. He was issued a criminal summons and released to the custody of his parents, Young said.
