A 22-year-old Milford man is accused of using stolen checks to make purchases at the Milford Walmart on multiple occasions this fall.

A 22-year-old Milford man is accused of using stolen checks to make purchases at the Milford Walmart on multiple occasions this fall.
Devon A. Scott was taken into custody at a home in the 500 block of Holly Hill Road in Milford on Dec. 2, following a brief foot chase, according to Milford Police Department spokesman Detective Dwight Young.
Scott allegedly forged the stolen check to purchase merchandise in October and November.
He is charged with five counts of third-degree forgery, five counts of theft by false pretense under $1,500, five counts of receiving stolen property under $1,500 and resisting arrest.
Scott later was released on an $11,000 unsecured bond.
