The Milford Housing Development Corporation’s Home Repair Project partnered with First Baptist Church of Dover and spent Saturday helping out a Dover homeowner.

The 10 volunteers from First Baptist Church replaced an existing wheelchair ramp that was rotting, not up to code, and not ADA compliant.
Prior to replacing the ramp, construction supervisors from the Home Repair Project widened the back door allowing the homeowner’s wheelchair better access into and out of the home.
The Home Repair Project provides emergency-related, health and safety repairs to qualified Delaware homeowners. With the help of volunteers and through local partnerships, most repairs are provided at no cost to qualified recipients. Since 1991, the Home Repair Project has helped thousands of families make their homes safer.
