Two local companies, Milford’s Hertrich Toyota and Seaford’s Peninsula Oil & Propane, recently signed on as sponsors for Autism Delaware’s annual Blue Jean Ball fundraiser.

Hertrich Toyota’s sponsorship will cover the cost of the event taking place at the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center while Peninsula Oil & Propane’s sponsorship will support the event’s entertainment, which will be a live performance by Love Seed Mama Jump and Just Us.

“As sponsors of the Blue Jean Ball, both of these businesses are helping Autism Delaware to meet its mission: helping people and families affected by autism spectrum disorder [ASD],” said Deanna Principe, Autism Delaware’s events manager. “And with one in 68 children being diagnosed with ASD, we at Autism Delaware greatly appreciate the support.”

The 2014 Blue Jean Ball will be held on Saturday, Sept. 20, starting at 6 p.m., with a “blue jeans and bling” dress code. Tickets are $85 per person if purchased by Sept. 5. Prices go to $100 between Sept. 6 and Sept. 20 or until the event is sold out. Tickets include entrance to live and silent auctions, dancing and live music, beer and wine, and hors d’oeuvres and desserts from local restaurants including Big Fish Grill, Kick n’ Chicken, Moe’s Southwest Grill/Carvel Ice Cream, Nage and Touch of Italy.

Sponsorships range from $250 to $3,500. Companies and organizations interested in ad space can secure a spot in the event’s slide presentation for $150 donation.
