Harrington police arrested a local man April 27 after a check-cashing incident at a bank last fall.

Police said Brain K. Wessells, 50, of Harrington, cashed a check at a bank on the corner of Clark and Hanley streets on Nov. 5, 2010, and recieved more money than the check was made out for.

Wessells allegedly refused to return the difference and was charged with theft under $1,500. He turned himself in at the Harrington Police Department and was released on a $500 bond after arraignment.
