The Milford High School cross-country teams swept Lake Forest on Monday to maintain their perfect records, including a new course record for the girls, set by Molly Bliss.

Rainy weather, a soggy track and an early start didn’t slow down Molly Bliss any. She braved tough conditions to set a new home record for the Milford High School girls' cross-country team at 20:02, the best time of her career and an easy first place overall in the Bucs' race against Lake Forest on Monday afternoon.

Kelsey Cabrera, Alexis Groce, Stefanie Clendaniel, Shaimae Sefiane and Amy Wilson rounded out a sweep of the top six for Milford, who went to 2-0 in the regular season. Taylor Rosser was the Spartans' top finisher, followed by Ashley Mogle and Devyn Lozzi.

The boys' team also easily beat the Spartans, going to 3-0 after last week's defeat of Woodbridge. Carl Richardson, Taiwan Savage, Steve Eschelman and Mike Doughty took the top four for the boys, followed by Lake’s Tyler Shelton at fifth overall.
