Services at the Episcopal Church of St. John the Baptist

The Episcopal Church of St. John the Baptist, located at 307 Federal St. in Milton, will hold Sunday School at 9:30 a.m. and Eucharistic worship service at 10 a.m. followed by coffee hour. The Bible Fellowship Church

The Bible Fellowship Church will be sharing an exciting vision to begin a new church fellowship in Milford at an informational meeting held at the Shawnee Country Club, 6152 S. Rehoboth Blvd., Milford. This meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m., Feb. 5. Mount Enon to hold Musical Concert

On Sunday, Feb. 8 at 4 p.m., The Henry Twins and the Stars of Joy will present a musical concert. For more information on this concert, contact James at 424-1446 or John at 422-2828. The concerts are free and open to the public. All are welcomed to give in a free will offering.

La Roca Church Hosts English Language Prayer Meeting

Church of God the Rock (Iglesia de Dios La Roca), 310 S. E. Front St., Milford, hosts an English language Prayer Meeting on Saturdays from 5:30 to 7 p.m.  The name of the group is “The Great I AM Pentecostal Fellowship.” Meetings include praise and worship music, testimonies, prayers for participants, area churches and revival.  People of all ages are welcome to attend. Liturgical Arts Ministry Celebration at Mt. Zion AME Church

On Saturday, Feb. 7, at 3:30 p.m., Mt. Zion A.M.E. Church, Ellendale will be hosting the First Annual Liturgical Arts Ministry Celebration. The theme is “Your Victory Has Already Been Won” with guest speaker the Rev. Zekiah Griffin of Seaford. The program will include a host of praise dancers, mime ministries and singers. Pilgrim Chapel to host Bill and Karen Itzel

Pilgrim Chapel will be hosting Bill and Karen Itzel in concert on Sunday, Feb. 1 at 10:40 a.m.  This inspirational service will be full of Scripture-inspired songs of gospel and contemporary style.

An offering will be taken to help support the ministry of Bill and Karen Itzel, and CDs and other products will be available.  This family is in full time vocational Christian ministry, so what is given to them is really an investment in God’s work. Missionary at First Baptist Church

Missionaries to Croatia, Kevin and Kristina Brown, are to be guests at First Baptist Church of Milford on Sunday, Feb. 1, during the 6:30 p.m. service. They are to present their burden for Croatia and Kevin is to preach. Missions is strongly emphasized at First Baptist Church. In 2008, the church gave nearly $110,000 to missions.

Heart and Hearth—A Closer Look at Homelessness

The Unitarian Universalists of Central Delaware invite everyone to worship with them Sunday, Feb. 1, when Shelley Page, Intern Minister, will lead worship on the images, emotions and judgments that we have when hearing the word “homeless”.  She will speak on the homelessness in our hearts and in Dover, as UUCD prepares to serve the homeless men in our community.

Unitarian Universalists of Southern Delaware upcoming events

The Unitarian Universalists of Southern Delaware, a welcoming congregation, meets at 10 a.m. Sundays at 33739 Marsh Road in Lewes off Wescoats Road next to Toddy’s. On Sunday, Feb. 1 the Rev. D. Michael Smith will present a sermon entitled, “Some Days I Feel Like February.” Rev. Smith will consider what it must be like to be the shortest month, with changing number of days, and not much else, especially if it were human. Avenue United Methodist Church GriefShare

Avenue United Methodist Church is once again offering the GriefShare program. GriefShare will begin its fifth session starting on Thursday night, Feb. 12 at 6:30 p.m. in the Grier Room at Avenue Church. If you are still hurting from the loss of a loved one, please join us. No matter what the circumstances, grief recovery is a painful process. This small group will meet for 13 weeks. You do not have to be at the first session, so please feel free to join us at any time. The facilitators for the sessions are Janice Abbott and Cheryl Pusey. GriefShare is a proven and effective way to work through grief. Please mark your calendars now and plan on joining the group.
