The Department of Transportation will present to area residents the Preferred Alternative for the proposed improvements to Barratts Chapel Road located between Route 1 and McGinnis Pond Road. The public workshop will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 19, at the Frederica Volunteer Fire Co., corner of Frederica Road and Front Street in Frederica.
The public is invited to attend any time between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.
The workshop will exhibit displays of the preferred alternative for the proposed improvements to Barratts Chapel Road and the preferred alternative developed for a grade-separated intersection (overpass) of Route 1 and Barratts Chapel Road. In addition, information will be presented for discussion relating to cultural and natural resources, social and economic development, land use, and environmental concerns.
Interested persons are invited to express their views in writing, giving reasons for support of or in opposition to the proposed project. Comments will be received during the workshop or can be mailed to DelDOT Public Relations, P.O. Box 778, Dover, DE 19903.
