Nearly half of small businesses say they plan to add positions despite the economic environment, according to a survey released by Wilmington-based Chase Card Services.
The survey was sent to CEOs and senior executives of the fastest growing U.S. companies. It found that:
- 49% plan to add positions
- 76% believe the economy will improve in six months
- 59% are expanding
- 80% are pursuing an aggressive growth strategy
- 65% say small businesses will lead the country out of the recession
