Ashley Young scored a season-high 20 points to help the Milford High School girls' basketball team take their fourth win in five games with a 51-38 victory over Lake Forest on Tuesday night.

The Bucs came into Tuesday’s game shorthanded after losing senior Kacie Jackson to a season-ending ankle injury in practice, but Kiandra Johnson held her own as the team’s fifth starter, and Ashley Young dominated the game with 20 points as the Bucs cruised to their fourth win in five games. Milford took the lead a minute into the game and held on for the duration, answering every comeback attempt by the Spartans with a well-timed three-pointer, strong rebounding or made free throws.

The Bucs went 13-for-17 from the foul line as a team, and Young led the way again with 8-for-8 shooting. Janée Williams had nine points on three three-pointers, Davis had another nine and Johnson added five.
