The Milford High School baseball and softball teams' playoff games, both scheduled for this afternoon in Georgetown, have been delayed until Wednesday due to bad weather.
Weather reports have steady rain continuing across Delaware for most of the day, leading DIAA officials to declare Sussex Tech and Sussex Central’s fields unplayable until it dries out.
The forecast is for scattered showers through Wednesday afternoon, which could interfere with drying out the fields in time to play. However, the winners of both games will have to play again on Thursday.
According to DIAA Executive Director Kevin Charles, baseball is now scheduled for 4 p.m. Wednesday, while softball will start at 5 p.m.
