I would like to say congratulations to the class of 2009 at Milford High School. What an amazing amount of academic awards presented as well as four state titles in scholastic sports and over $2 million in college scholarships. My family and I would like to thank the Milford School district administration, especially Mr. Marvin P. Schelhouse.
My brother, James Richard Schott, was presented with an honorary diploma in history from MHS. Ricky, as our family calls him, was born in Milford and attended the Milford school district until 1972 when he relocated to Virginia. He now resides with me. Ricky is autistic, but his knowledge of history is remarkable. I was overwhelmed with emotion when the entire 2009 graduating class, the school administration and all the folks in attendance stood and cheered him when he accepted his diploma. The city of Milford and the surrounding area are very special people. I am very proud to have been born and raised in Milford. With our troops overseas fighting for our freedoms and the state of the economy, people losing jobs, it is nice to see that good things do happen. Thanks to everyone in attendance, it was a special night for our entire family that we will never forget.
Sincerely,
Frank Marsh
