Of Milford, Delaware, passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2009 at Bayhealth Milford Memorial Hospital. She was 77.
Mrs. Saunders was born on February 15, 1932 in Long Island, New York, daughter of the late Harry C., Sr. and Alice (Resseler) Eypel.
She was a homemaker and also handled the bookkeeping for her husband’s business, H.S. Saunders Jewelers, for the many years it was in operation in Milford.
Bev had a simple, kind and compassionate nature and an abounding love for animals.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Harry C. Eypel, Jr.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Henry S. Saunders; three nieces; Jackie Benton and her husband Bill of Camden; Jeanine Sala of Stuart, Florida and Susan Olson and her husband Gary of Sterling, Virginia; and two nephews, Michael McGinnis and his wife Barbara of Charlotte, Vermont and Will McGinnis and his wife Renee of Centreville, Virginia.
A service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 13, 2009 at Rogers Funeral Home, 301 Lakeview Ave, Milford, where friends may call one hour prior.
Burial will be held in the Milford Community Cemetery on Route 113.
