Eunice Mae Hawkins, formerly of Milford, died unexpectedly, but peacefully on Thursday, Oct. 23, 2008. She was 72.

She was born Feb. 29, 1936 , in Itta Bena, Miss., to the late Oddie and Lillie Mae Harris.

Eunice enjoyed being with her family, traveling, and playing bingo.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Robert Hawkins.

She is survived by her six children, Vernola Harris, Barbara Smith, Richard, Tony, Rudolph (Beatrice) and Aretha Hawkins; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters; two brothers; and a host of nieces and nephews.

 Memorial services were held on Saturday, Nov. 8, 2008, at Bethel AME Church, Milford.
