Phoebe G. Sipple, 84, passed away peacefully in the early hours of Christmas morning, December 25, 2009.
She was born on Jan. 13, 1925 in Pittsburgh, Pa., the daughter of Winfield Scott Grenoble and Catherine Moore Grenoble. Phoebe was predeceased by her husband, William V. Sipple III, in 2002.
She was a homemaker who attended Christ Episcopal Church in Milford for more than 50 years.
Civic involvement included the Milford Garden Club, Milford Memorial Hospital Ladies Auxiliary and Abbotts Mill Nature Center. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Jacque Sipple of Milford; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A private family burial service was held Sunday, Dec. 27 at All Saints Cemetery in Angola. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Christ Episcopal Church, 200 Church St., Milford, DE 19963.
