Sarah Lee Kehler, 88, of Milford, died Saturday, Dec. 12, 2009 at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford. Sarah was born in New Castle, Del., the daughter of the late George W. and Mary Louise (McCauley) Brittingham. She was a homemaker. Sarah was a member of the Reformation Lutheran Church, Milford, and a member of the Ladies of the Elks, Lodge #2401, Milford. Sarah was a beautiful piano player years ago and loved music. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years Harry C. Kehler Jr. in 2000 and a brother George W. Brittingham Jr.
She is survived by two sons, H. Calvin Kehler of Reading, Pa., and James Edward Kehler of Milford; one daughter, Janet K. Lonergan and her husband Kevin, of Milford; seven grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 12 p.m. Friday, Dec.18, at Reformation Lutheran Church, 613 Lakeview Ave., Milford. Interment will be at Gracelawn Memorial Park, New Castle, Del. Flowers may be sent or contributions may be made to either Reformation Lutheran Church, 613 Lakeview Ave., Milford, DE 19963 or to the Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
