Roland L. "Junior" Jackson of Milford passed away suddenly on Friday, June 26, 2009 at Milford Memorial Hospital, Bayhealth Medical Center surrounded by his family. He was 83.
Mr. Jackson was born in Cambridge, MD the son of the late Roland and Agnes (Lynch) Jackson.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the Pacific Theatre during WW II. Mr. Jackson worked as a foreman in both residential and business construction for many years, retiring from Vepco, Inc in 1993. He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, woodworking and spending time with his family.  He could fix anything that was given to him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Florence B. Jackson on April 20, 2009 and a son-in-law Phillip E. Sharp, Sr.

He is survived by one son Roland L. Jackson, Jr. and his wife Alice, of Milford; 2 daughters Florence G. "Flossie" Sharp and her fiancée John R. Hudson, and Sandra L. Brooks, all of Milford; 5 grandchildren Phillip E. Sharp, Jr., Darlene Austin, Rhonda Jester, Ryan Brooks and Kyle Brooks; 10 great grandchildren and two sisters Annie Lee Greulich and Fannie Mae Wilkins, both of Milford.

Funeral services were held June 30 at the Lofland Funeral Home, Milford. Burial will be in Milford Community Cemetery, Rt. 113, Milford.
