DeQuain Flamer, 19, of Magnolia, was arrested Friday night after trying to enter and apparently rob two Lincoln homes, State Police Cpl. Bruce Harris said.
Harris said that at about 8:45 p.m., a 28-year-old victim found Flamer crouched down in front of his car on Cedar Road, in the Cedar Village development. Flamer then got up and confronted the victim asking him for drugs and money. When he refused, Flamer told the victim “this is a robbery, give me everything you have,” Harris said.
Flamer then walked onto the victim’s porch and punched him in the face. The victim was able to push Flamer off his porch. At that point an unidentified white vehicle pulled up to the front of the residence and picked up Flamer.
While investigating the first attack, police were informed of a fight on West Mayhew Drive, also in Lincoln, involving an assailant fitting Flamer’s description.
Harris said Flamer attempted to enter a home on the 21000 block of West Mayhew, wearing a ski mask and gloves. When one of the residents, a 19-year-old man, tried to lead him away from the house, Flamer walked to the edge of the property before pushing the man away. At this point, another resident, a 35-year-old woman, walked outside to find her dog and came across Flamer, standing in the middle of the road, yelling obscenities with his middle finger in the air.
State police contacted and arrested Flamer later that night. Harris said he was reportedly intoxicated and displaying erratic, violent behavior. He was charged with second-degree attempted robbery, two counts of offensive touching, wearing a disguise during the commission of a felony, resisting arrest, underage drinking, criminal trespass, disorderly conduct and failure to provide his fingerprints to a police officer. He was remanded to Sussex Correctional Institute in lieu of $11,752 cash bail.
