Reorganization of Officers   

As of Oct. 23, 2008, Richard Y. Johnson & Son, Inc. has reorganized the company officers. George Welsh, long time vice president and project manager, has partially retired and has stepped down as the first vice president of the company. Dean Y. Johnson has been promoted from second vice president to first vice president, and Don Zook has been offered and accepted the position of second vice president. Richard M. Johnson remains the Chairman of the Board and Richard Bailey remains the president of Richard Y.  Johnson & Son. Dean Johnson will remain the safety coordinator and project manager. Don Zook remains the chief estimator, with Jesse Dixon as the assistant estimator.

Luff & Associates P.A. CPAs has earned new designations

George E. Luff, CPA, CVA, CFFA has successfully completed the certification process with the National Association Certified Valuation Analysts to earn his designation of certified forensic financial analyst. Mr. Luff is the president of Luff & Associates, P.A. CPAs, with offices in Milford, at 422-9699, and Dover, at 735-8407.

The certified valuation analyst is designed to provide assurance to the professional community that the designee has met the association’s rigorous standards of professionalism, expertise, objectivity, and integrity in the field of business valuation, litigation support and related consulting disciplines.

The certified forensic financial analyst credential is designed to provide assurance to the legal community, the primary users of litigation consulting services, that the designee possesses a level of experience and knowledge deemed acceptable by the association to provide competent and professional forensic consulting services. The designation is an indication to the professional community that George E. Luff II has met the association’s rigorous standards of professionalism, expertise, objectivity, and integrity in the business valuation and litigation consulting disciplines.

Luff & Associates, P.A., a certified public accounting firm, has successfully completed its most recent peer review. The peer review is a practice-monitoring program conducted under the auspices of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
