Easter Seals offers free respite for those in need

Easter Seals Delaware and Maryland’s Eastern Shore is offering a limited number of free respite sessions at Camp Fairlee Manor, outside of Chestertown, Md., for Delaware adults 18 years and older with physical disabilities who qualify. The sessions allow persons with disabilities to have fun and relax at an accessible camping facility, while giving caregivers a break from continuous care of loved ones.

Easter Seals is running the two-day respite sessions from December, 2008 through March, 2009.  Please call for exact dates. The camp features comfortable climate-controlled dorms, dining hall and other facilities.  Transportation is provided from an Easter Seals location in each county. A limited number of slots are available!

Now celebrating its 60th anniversary in the region, Easter Seals offers a range of services, including outpatient rehabilitation therapy, early intervention services for children, day services for adults with physical disabilities and cognitive disabilities and assistive technology services to increase the functional capabilities of people with disabilities.
