One home was damaged and no one was hurt in an apparent electrical fire Friday afternoon near Southeast Front Street. According to neighbors, no one was home when the house's roof started to smolder at about 6:15 p.m., leading one McColley Street resident to call 911. The Carlisle Fire Department and Houston Volunteer Fire Co. responded, finally extinguishing the fire at about 7 p.m.
No details are available on the cause of the fire.
