Juveniles arrested for drugs

The Harrington Police Department charged a 13-year old Harrington juvenile and a 14-year old Frederica juvenile for drug charges on Friday, Sept. 12, 2008. Police responded to W.T. Chipman Junior High in reference to a drug complaint.

Upon arrival, police learned that the two juveniles while in school were found to be in possession of approximately 1.2 grams of marijuana. Both juveniles were charged with delivery of marijuana, possession with intent to deliver marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana. Both were processed at Harrington PD and released to their parents pending a future hearing at Kent County Family Court.

Juvenile arrested for theft

On Sunday, Sept. 14, the Harrington Police Department charged a 17-year old Magnolia juvenile with theft over $1,000, and second degree conspiracy. Police charged the accused after an investigation to a theft of U.S. Currency from a residence on Rose Haven Lane. The accused was processed at HPD, and released to his mother pending a future hearing at Kent County Family Court.

Harrington man arrested at Clarks Corner

Shaun C. Russell 26, of Dover was arrested on Sunday, Sept. 21 by the Harrington Police Department and charged with second degree unlawful imprisonment, terroristic threatening, third degree assault, second degree reckless endangerment, criminal mischief, and malicious interference of emergency communication. Police responded to Clarks Corner Apts. in reference to a domestic argument. Upon arrival, Police learned that the accused had fled, and prior to fleeing, the accused allegedly engaged in a physical confrontation, destroyed property, and destroyed the phone that belonged to the girlfriend of the accused. Russell was later brought into custody, processed at HPD, arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court 7, and released on a $1250 unsecured bond pending a future hearing at Kent County Court of Common Pleas.
