Milford man charged with offensive touching

On Oct. 26, at approx. 7:30 p.m., Milford police responded to the 600 block of North West Front Street in reference to a report of a disturbance. Upon arrival police arrested Eugene C. Corkell, 44, of Milford, after he allegedly struck a subject at the residence and made threatening statements to other parties present at the residence. Corkell was charged with offensive touching, menacing and harassment. Corkell was arraigned at the Justice of the Peace 7, released on $2,000 unsecured bond and ordered to have no contact with the parties involved.



Man arrested after violating no-contact order

On Oct. 6, the Harrington Police Department charged James P. Nelligan, 63, of Harrington with breach of release. Police learned that the accused was allegedly traveling on Commerce St. and swerved at the victim, displayed an obscene gesture, and stopped in front of the victim’s place of employment. Nelligan had a no contact order with the victim from the Kent County Family Court. The accused was processed at HPD, arraigned at Justice of the Peace 2, and released on a $500 unsecured bond pending a future hearing at Justice of the Peace.



Tire slashing leads to arrest

The Harrington Police Department charged Charles A. Bednarek, 45, of Harrington with criminal mischief on Oct. 7. Police responded to Stone’s Bar on Oct. 5 where they learned that the accused allegedly slashed the victim’s vehicle tire with a knife. Bednarek was later processed at HPD, arraigned at Justice of the Peace 2, and released on a $250 unsecured bond pending a future hearing at Justice of the Peace 6.



Woman arrested for identity theft

Angelique M. Dobry, 32, of Harrington, was arrested by the Harrington Police Department on Oct. 8 and charged with identity theft of a person 62 years or older, 78 counts of possession or attempting to possess prescription drugs by misrepresentation, fraud, forgery, second degree conspiracy, and 20 counts of criminal impersonation. These charges were in addition to a previous arrest from Sept. 30, when police executed a drug search warrant involving Dobry. The accused was processed at HPD, arraigned at Justice of the Peace 6, and committed to WCI on a $91,500 secured bond pending a future hearing.



Teens arrested after Arby’s incident

On Oct. 9, the Harrington Police Department charged Christopher K. Chase, 19, and a 16-year old male juvenile, both of Harrington, with offensive touching and disorderly conduct. Police responded Arby’s in reference to a fight in progress on Oct. 4 where police learned that both of the accused engaged in a fighting manner. Both were processed at HPD. Chase was arraigned at Justice of the Peace 2, and released on a $1,000 unsecured bond pending a future hearing at Kent County Court of Common Pleas. The juvenile was processed at HPD, and released to a guardian pending a future hearing at Kent County Family Court.



Harrington man arrested for cocaine possession

On Oct. 14, the Harrington Police Department charged Lavarr E. Smith, 22, of Harrington with possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia. Police were contacted by Probation and Parole who claimed that the accused was found outside his residence. The accused was searched by officers and found to be in possession of approximately 1.5 grams of crack cocaine in a plastic bag. The accused was processed at HPD, arraigned at Justice of the Peace 2, and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $2,000 secured bond pending a future hearing at Kent County Court of Common Pleas.



Fight leads to capture of a runaway

Michael Trotta, 50, of Harrington, was arrested Oct. 17 by the Harrington Police Department and charged with offensive touching, and as a fugitive from justice. Police learned that the accused allegedly engaged in a physical confrontation with his spouse. Police learned that the accused was also wanted by the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas for failing to pay fines for an improper turn, and not possessing an insurance card. Trotta was processed at HPD, arraigned at Justice of the Peace 7, and released on a $250 unsecured bond pending a future hearing.



Dover man taken in on multiple charges

On Oct. 19, the Harrington Police Department charged Kenneth B. Davidson, 39, of Dover with possession of crack cocaine, maintaining a vehicle, possession of drug paraphernalia, speeding, and driving on a suspended license. Police observed the accused speeding northbound on Rt. 13. Police seized approximately .09 grams of crack cocaine during a search of the vehicle. The accused was processed at HPD, arraigned at Justice of the Peace 7, and $4,025 unsecured bond pending a future hearing at Kent County Court of Common Pleas.



Man arrested for terroristic threatening

Terrence M. Harrison, 22, of Harrington, was arrested by the Harrington Police Department and charged with terroristic threatening, and criminal contempt of a domestic violence order on Oct. 20. Police learned that the accused allegedly threatened the victim via a phone and violated a protection order. The accused was processed by Camden Police Department, arraigned at Justice of the Peace 7, and committed on a $1,500 secured bond pending a future hearing.



Woman arrested for harassment

On Oct. 20, the Harrington Police Department charged Melanie L. Major, 45, of Magnolia with terroristic threatening, harassment, and third degree conspiracy. Police learned that the accused allegedly called a residence on Florida Blvd, and threatened the victim. The accused was later processed at HPD, arraigned at Justice of the Peace 7, and released on a $1,500 unsecured bond pending a future hearing at Kent County Court of Common Pleas.



Father threatens children

The Harrington Police Department charged Garry E. Harris, 33, of Harrington with terroristic threatening, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, offensive touching, and disorderly conduct on Oct. 21. Police investigated an alleged incident on Clark Street in reference to the accused and his children. The accused allegedly made threatening statements and engaged in a physical confrontation. The accused was processed at HPD, arraigned at Justice of the Peace 2, and released on a $4,000 unsecured bond pending a future hearing at Kent County Family Court.



Felton man charged with offensive touching

On Oct. 21, the Harrington Police Department charged James L. Hall, 19, of Felton, with offensive touching, and disorderly conduct. Police responded to Fleming Street in reference to the accused whom engaged in a physical confrontation with an acquaintance. The accused was processed at HPD, arraigned at Justice of the Peace 2, and released on a $1,000 unsecured bond pending a future hearing at Kent County Family Court.



Harrington teen hits cars, runs

The Harrington Police Department charged Kaitlyn R. Brown, 18, of Harrington, on Oct. 24 with driving under the influence, leaving the scene of a property collision accident, spinning tires, reckless driving, underage possession of alcohol, driving without a valid license, unreasonable speed, and failure to report a collision. Police responded to East Liberty Street in reference to a vehicle crash. Police learned that the accused allegedly struck two parked vehicles and fled on foot. The accused was located at a near-by residence and returned to the scene. The accused was processed at HPD, arraigned at Justice of the Peace 3, and released on a $1,650 unsecured bond pending a future hearing at Justice of the Peace 7.



Woman arrested after slashing tires

On Oct. 25, the Harrington Police Department charged Desiree L. Conrad, 26, of Harrington, with criminal mischief. Police learned that the accused allegedly responded to a residence on Wolcott Street and after an incident with her boyfriend, the accused allegedly slashed the victim’s tires with an ice pick. The accused was processed at HPD, arraigned at justice of the Peace 7, and released on a recognizance bond.



Juvenile and woman arrested after fight

Luciel M. Howell, 33, of Harrington, was charged with offensive touching and endangering the welfare of a child by the Harrington Police Department on Oct. 25. Police also charged a 16-year old Harrington juvenile with offensive touching. Police responded to East Milby Street in reference to a domestic disturbance. Police learned that both of the accused allegedly engaged in a physical confrontation. Howell and the teen were processed at HPD, arraigned at Justice of the Peace 7, and Luciel Howell was released on a $750 unsecured bond. The juvenile was released on a relative pending a future hearing at Kent County Family Court.



Food Lion shoplifter caught

On Oct. 26, the Harrington Police Department charged Shirley Bubniak-Garris, 42, of Harrington, with shoplifting, and third degree criminal trespassing. Police responded to Food Lion in reference to a shoplifting complaint. Police viewed the surveillance system and identified the accused. Police learned that the accused was on Delaware Avenue and proceeded to locate her there and took the accused into custody without incident. Police also seized $155.19 in items that were allegedly stolen from Food Lion. Bubniak-Garris was processed at HPD, issued a criminal summons, and released pending a future hearing at Justice of the Peace 6.



Greenwood man arrested on multiple charges

Ryan T. Manning, 24, of Greenwood, was charged by the Harrington Police Department on Oct. 27 with maintaining a vehicle for keeping drugs, possession of 6 oxycodone pills, possession of drug paraphernalia, carrying a concealed dangerous instrument, failure to have insurance card, failure to transfer title, driving on a suspended license and failure to have registration card in possession. Police stopped the accused for a registration violation on Fleming Street. Police learned that the accused didn’t have a valid driver’s license. Police then proceeded to search Manning and seized six oxycodone pills, a pill crusher and a knife. The accused was processed at HPD, arraigned at Justice of the Peace 2, and released on a $3,200 unsecured bond pending a future hearing at Kent County Court of Common Pleas. The accused was also wanted by Sussex County Court of Common Pleas for failing to pay for theft under $1,000. The accused posted a $75 cash bond pending a future hearing.
