The Kent County Public Library, 497 S. Red Haven Lane, Dover, announced its December schedule of events and programs.

The library will close at 5 p.m. Dec. 24, and will remain closed Dec. 25-26 for the Christmas holiday.

Programs are free and open to the public unless otherwise noted.

— Preschool story time: 10 a.m. Dec. 13 and 20. Story time and a themed craft activity.

— Candy cane wreath: 6 p.m. Dec. 13. For ages 16 and older. Participants will make a candy cane-shaped wreath using mesh and other materials to adorn the door or give as a gift. All supplies included. Cost of $10 nonrefundable materials fee must be paid at registration, cash or check only. Must register in person at the library.

— Expressions of Joy Harp Ensemble: 6:30 p.m. Dec. 17. A performance by the Expressions of Joy Harp Ensemble with a selection of inspired classics and holiday music.

— Toddler Dance Party with Unbranded Dance: 10 a.m. Dec. 19. Preschoolers are encouraged to join Unbranded Dance for some basic movement and dance instruction, along with a storybook or two.

— “Frozen” Family Movie Matinee: 10 a.m. Dec. 28. A screening of the “singalong” edition of “Frozen” on the library’s 80-inch projection screen.

— Magic and Comedy with Wild Willy Woo Woo: 6:30 p.m. Dec. 28. The library’s last program of 2018. Wild Willy Woo Woo will give a comedic magic show that features some of Willy’s animal friends and audience participation.
