Daniel Lewis was arrested Sept. 1 at the Milford High School stadium

Officers with the Milford Police Department have arrested a Seaford man after he got into an argument with several people and threatened them with bodily harm.

The incident took place at about 12:52 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 1 at the Milford High School Stadium, department spokesman Det. Timothy Maloney said.

Police arrived to fi­nd Daniel Lewis, 36, getting into his car and preparing to leave. He was stopped and taken into custody, Maloney said.

Officers learned Lewis allegedly got into an argument with several people and during the course of the incident threatened them with bodily harm. This was done while children were present, Maloney said; several of the children were upset by the incident, he added.

Lewis is charged with two counts of terroristic threatening, four counts of endangering the welfare of a child and one count of disorderly conduct. He was released from custody on a $3,250 unsecured bond and ordered to have no contact with the victims.

Maloney said the incident took place outside school hours at an event hosted by an outside group not affiliated with the Milford School District.
