Milford’s citywide solid waste audit of all trash, recycle and yard waste containers was rescheduled for the week of June 25-29.
Customers should place their containers, empty or full, to the curb by 7 a.m. on scheduled collection days as listed: citywide yard waste, June 25; Route 1, June 26; Route 2, June 27; Route 3, June 28; and Route 4, June 29.
Rehrig crews will follow city trucks through each route daily.
To have an accurate audit, it is important that customers participate. Customers will find a new educational sticker on the lid of the recycle and yard waste containers, along with a new serial number sticker once the audit is complete. Customers should leave containers out until the end of the day or until new stickers are seen on containers. If a container has recently been upgraded and already has a new lid sticker, there will not be any additional stickers added. Before placing recyclables or yard waste into the containers, customers should make sure to check out the new lid sticker to make certain it is an acceptable item.
Those unable to put their containers out during the audit should call the Public Works Department at 422-1110.
