Was found in the middle of Rehoboth Avenue
An Alquerque, New Mexico woman was arrested after drunkenly resisting arrest in Rehoboth Beach.
At around 11:30 p.m., police were called to the 300 block of Rehoboth Avenue for a report of an intoxicated person in the middle of the roadway. Hannah Cain, 25, was found in the middle of Rehoboth Avenue and traffic was stopping to avoid striking her. When officers attempted to remove her from the roadway she refused. She was subsequently placed under arrest and struggled against officers attempting to place her in handcuffs and into a patrol car. No one was injured as a result of her resistance.
Cain was charged with resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and drunk on a highway. She was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on $501 secured bail.
