The latest installment of the series “History Matters — Dorchester” is set for noon Feb. 21 at Heritage Museums and Gardens of Dorchester, 1003 Greenway Drive, Cambridge, Maryland.
The program will feature writer Jim Duffy, of Cambridge, who will share stories, finds and life lessons learned during his work on the book “Tubman Travels: 32 Underground Railroad Journeys on Delmarva.”
Local African-American history heroes will be highlighted from Dorchester and surrounding areas. A book signing will occur after.
Duffy, along with his wife, Jill Jasuta, founded Secrets of the Eastern Shore, a business that celebrates the heritage and beauty of the region in words, photos and products. The couple has lived in Cambridge since 2004.
