Delaware State Police have arrested a 19-year-old Dover man for allegedly making a threatening comment towards a high school.

On Thursday, Feb. 15, the Delaware State Police Youth Aid Unit received a report that a student from James H. Groves Adult High School had overheard another student make a threatening comment.

The adult high school is located at 823 Walnut Shade Road, Woodside, in the group of buildings that includes Polytech High School and Polytech Adult Education, south of Camden.

Members of the Troop 3 Youth Aid Unit immediately responded to the school and investigated the allegation.

Police said an adult student, identified as 19-year-old Channing Fisher of Dover, made a threatening statement, indicating he would do harm to the school.

Fisher was arrested without incident and taken to Troop 3 where he was charged with terroristic threatening, a felony, police said. Fisher and his residence were searched, and no weapons were found.

He was arraigned at the Justice of the Peace Court 2 and released on $2,000 unsecured bond while awaiting another court date, with a condition of the bond that he turn in any weapons and have no contact with any schools.
