Wetland scientists, researchers, consultants and managers from across the mid-Atlantic region will present advances in science and conservation

The Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control Delaware Wetlands Conference will be held from 9:15 a.m. to 4 p.m. Jan. 31 and Feb. 1 at the Chase Center on the Waterfront, 815 Justison St., Wilmington.

Wetland scientists, researchers, consultants and managers from across the mid-Atlantic region will present advances in science and conservation, share ideas and formulate pathways for restoring and protecting wetland resources through integrating existing programs, developing new strategies and focusing on education and outreach efforts.

Featured wetland presentation sessions include: climate change, freshwater wetland restoration, mapping and modeling, New Jersey beneficial use of dredged material, wetland monitoring and assessment, wetland planning and conservation and Pocomoke River restoration.
