Stage Director Jim Hartzell, of Georgetown; Music Director Rick Trice, of Seaford; and Choreographer Amanda Howard, of Laurel, will conduct auditions for the Possum Point Players’ production of the musical “Hello, Dolly!” at 7 p.m. Jan. 28 and 29 at Possum Hall, 441 Old Laurel Highway, Georgetown.

The directors are looking for male and female actors, 16 years old and older. Tryouts include performing one musical piece of no more than 16 bars, a short choreography session and readings from the script. Singing without accompaniment or along with a taped performer is discouraged. There will be a piano accompanist and those auditioning are encouraged to bring CDs.

“Hello, Dolly!” will be performed at 7:30 p.m. April 13, 14, 20 and 21; and 2 p.m. April 15 and 22 at Possum Hall. Those auditioning should be aware that there is the possibility of performances added within that time period.

Those who cannot make the scheduled audition dates may also contact the director. Casting is open to all within the above stated age and gender parameters and will be non-discriminatory in terms of such items as race or sexual preferences.
