The Rose Colored Lasses recently raised more than $3,000 for Delaware Hospice.

The Rose Colored Lasses held the 10th annual Christmas House Tour, which began Dec. 7, to raise money for the Delaware Hospice Center. Visitors were given house tours through decorated homes in the Milford area. The night ended with wine and appetizers at the Delaware Hospice Center.

Through the group’s 13-year history, The Rose Colored Lasses have organized events to help support organizations like the Delaware Hospice Center, American Cancer Society, Home of the Brave Women’s Facility and KenCrest Group Home.

“This year’s donation of $3,373 will help us complete our purchase of four new loveseats for our patients’ rooms,” said Clinical Supervisor of Inpatient Services Debbie Taylor. “The Delaware Hospice Center is very appreciative of all the local support, and it is always a pleasure to work with the Lasses.”

“This is gratifying work because Delaware Hospice provides a comfortable place for people when they need it. All I have to do is mention that the event is for Delaware Hospice, and individuals and organizations generously give because so many have been touched by their services,” said Dee Greenlee, member of The Rose Colored Lasses and House Tour chair.
