An investigation into a report of a suspicious person led to a drug arrest.

The Milford Police Department Patrol Division was dispatched to the Brightway Commons Apartment Complex at about 9:14 a.m. Dec. 28 in reference to a suspicious person investigation. Investigation revealed the subject was allegedly sleeping in one of the hallways of the apartment complex. Officers made contact with Gregory Black, 55, of Milford. Further investigation revealed Black had been banned from the property in November 2017. As Black was being taken into custody for trespassing, a digital scale fell out of his pocket. Further investigation revealed that Black was in possession of drug paraphernalia and suspected heroin.

Black was charged with manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to deliver a counterfeit controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia non-marijuana related and criminal trespass in the third degree.

Black had a presentment through Justice of the Peace Court 2 and was released on $1,000 unsecured bail with a no contact order with Brightway Commons Apartment Complex. Black was ordered to appear in Kent County Court of Common Pleas at a later date for a preliminary hearing.
